“….Billy Graham’s daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her: “How could God let something like this happen?” (regarding Hurricane Katrina). Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said: “I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we’ve been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?”
In light of recent events… terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O’Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn’t want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK…….
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world’s going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send ‘jokes’ through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace….
My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,
Ben Stein…”

“You can’t replace the irreplaceable.”
God can never be replaced with your “greatest” love: family, friends, hobbies, etc. He is so much bigger than all of those things combined! It is impossible to get the same joy out of photography that I get out of Jesus. When you experience Him, you know God is the only true fulfillment.
1 Timothy 2: 5
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity— the man Christ Jesus.

An obvious statement: everyone of us has questioned whether there is a God or not and we have come to a personal conclusion. Some of us lean toward the belief that there is one God, others believe there are many gods. Some of us settle to just wonder, or we come to the conclusion there is no god. We argue, over and over again whether there is a god or not, throwing scientific facts back and forth at each other. We create war and hatred with those we disagree with. And we never come to a conclusion.
I don’t want to throw a bunch of facts at you and try to prove that God does exist. I just want to say a couple of things that could help you understand my beliefs.
As everyone has, I have questioned the existence of God. I dig deep in the Bible. I read and expect to find an answer, and I do! There are certain passages that tell me, this is not a story, this is the real thing. When I dig for an answer I get this joy and sensation literally in my heart, it tells me that there is this great God who will protect me. It’s as if my heart is smiling. This is a feeling you can’t get with money, your favorite hobby, your dog, your boyfriend or girlfriend; not even family. This is, call me crazy, the Holy Spirit. So I go back and re-look at what I have. I have a printed word that tells me all about this God that says He loves me and that He died for me, a smiling heart, and something worth living for. I always end up in the same spot: thinking about how great God really is.
